English Activities

Authentic learning experiences

To provide our students with opportunities to use English in real-world settings, students take their learning outside the classroom by exploring different places like museums and movie theatres, which are the learning tasks introduced in the GE programme. Such hands-on approach to English language learning makes it more entertaining and practical for our students.

Reading activities

The library is a very popular place in our school due to the fantastic activities organised there throughout the year. One of its highlights is the reading corner dedicated to English books. There students can find books related to the themes introduced in the GE programme and popular book series being promoted.

Halloween Fun Day

On this day the students came to school in their spooky costumes and masks! There were lots of games for them to play at recess and they went trick-or-treating to get sweets from the teachers.

SCOLAR activities

We were very lucky to have the Hong Kong Rugby Union and the SCOLAR to run the Rugby English Active Learning Programme. It was an excellent opportunity for our students to develop interest in reading information texts on sports in English. The students liked to apply the rules and skills of non-contact TRY rugby when playing mini rugby games.

Shakespeare4All activities

We were delighted to join the Shakespeare4AllAll The World's Our Stage”Shakespeare Youth Drama Programme. The pop-up corners and online touring performances helped our students learn more about William Shakespeare and his works. The students were encouraged to further challenge their skills and release their creativity in the drama training classes. The students found the classes fun and engaging, while also enabling them to develop their skills to perform the play“King Lear.
